Rev. Thomas Milledge Galphin 1891 - 1892

Rev. Galphin was born in Edgefield Country, SC on April 25, 1855. He was educated at the University of Virginia and Southern Seminary in Louisville. He received a Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from Mercer University. Rev. Galphin was pastor during the construction of the first church building and become first full time pastor. He started a mission in Greenville during his pastorate that later became Central Baptist Church. He went to Williston Baptist Church from Piedmont. Later he lived in Greenville where he died May 26, 1930.
